Description

The Reynolds ARx series delivers an unmatched selection of carbon fiber wheels to offer you the perfect product capable of tracking the types of terrain and roads you ride. The ARx line of wheels carries on the heritage of our wildly popular Attack, Assault and Strike wheels with wider rim profiles optimized for modern, wider tubeless tires. Working with the wider profiles allowed our engineers to design sleek, new rim shapes that vastly improve stability in crosswinds in the deeper sectioned rims. The new ARx profiles are not only wider and faster, but they are also lighter than their Attack, Assault and Strike predecessors.

    Great Wheelset

Purchased the Reynolds AR 29X wheelset for my Litespeed T1sl because I wasn't happy with the wheels that came on the bike (very hard to change a tire or fix a flat). The AR 29X wheelset are very light, fast, look great and were much easier to mount with new tires.

    Zero Compromise

Currently mounted on a steel frame, carbon fork, v-brake, steel cross/gravel frame. After having these wheels for a year I can confidently say they're missing absolutely nothing. Super light, super fast, incredible hubs, and however they've done it, the Reynolds engineers have solved the whole carbon rim brake thing. (May not be popular to say these days, but I'm throwing it out there.) I just finished an 85 mile gravel race in WI that included hours of snow and rain and thousands of feet of climb. At some points there were bricks of slush and mud clinging to the v-brakes. These things rolled, and rolled fast the whole day and I really appreciated how light they were with the major climbs at the end of the day on muddy gravel roads. I can run plenty low pressures because of the wide profiles so I can mount lighter weight rubber and rely on the shoulders of the tread for most of the traction when I need it. And the hubs, did I mention the hubs? I've had the good fortune of having been able to run a number of different generations of good carbon and alloy wheels. These hubs may be the best of any of the sets I've owned. In the end I don't think these wheels have a single compromise in them and I'd buy them again without question.
