Mastodon is the real-world trail suspension for fatbikes. This fatbike fork delivers all-temperature performance, working equally well in winter or summer, soaking up chatter and big hits. Extended ride height versions fit up to 26×5.15” / 27.5×4.5” tires. Standard ride height versions fit up to 26×4” / 27.5×3.8” tires on the snow, or taking on shimmering hot sand like a pro. All-temperature performance born of frigid winter ride-testing. 34mm trail chassis is stiffer and steers more precisely than any other fatbike suspension fork.

    Loving this fork

I debated whether to switch to a suspension fork on my farley 5. It seemed pricey and I was worried the extra weight might turn into sluggish handling. The Debate is over. This fork completely transformed my fat bike. It’s way more capable and more fun. I ride in rocky New England where there there is typically only deep snow a couple weeks a year. The bike still climbs great no problem with seated pedaling and not too much Bob standing. In virtually all trail situations the Mastodon makes this bike so much better. I’ll be riding my Farley year round now. Very quick turnaround and good communication from Hayes. Absolutely recommended this fork. It will slacken a rigid bike so consider lowering the stem upon installation.

What is Better than *Awesome*? a Manitou MastodonProEXT!!!

My Trek Farley EX8 was *Awesome* for 2+ years with the stock Bluto...
but when it came time to 'rebuild' the fork, *Replacement* with a Manitou MastodonProEXT made more sense (because a DoradoDC BigFatFuss is still not available)...

So what is Better than *Awesome*...?!?

[ByTheWay, you would do yourself and your prospective customers a service by mentioning the MastodonProEXT *also Fits 29erPlus (3.0" Wide 622x77mm) Tires* along with 584x123mm (aeka 27.5x4.8") and the ErroneouslyKnownAs 26x5.15" (or ~559x135mm, which are 22.0"BSD & ~32"OD, nothing is 26" in diameter except roughly where some lettering or sidewall scuffing might be)...]
