Like everyone else here, rear hub died way too early. Hayes service team was great. For $350 (+shipping cost back to Hayes) the wheel was rebuilt with Industry 9 Hydra hub. Well worth the extra $$ knowing rear hub problems are DONE.
Dear Customer Care Team,
After I have heard from several cyclists that many dangerous situations occur due to the jamming or breaking of the rear hub of the TR309, I am first concerned whether I can cycle safely (at high speed) with these wheels.
After reading the comments on your website, my confidence has fallen even further. please let me know if there is a solution / upgrade for this problem? or can it only be resolved after a (dangerous) situation has occurred?
I would like to hear your reaction.
With best regards,
Yep, while reading reviews I said to myself, that won't happen to me, well... It did, today, climbing, rear hub explodes.
So disappointed with this very inferior product, and even more disappointed to not see a recall or compensation to customers. At least, please get these hubs off the market, you are ruining your reputation Reynolds.
Comprei a Strive 8.0 em Setembro de 2019 e partiu o eixo traseiro
Não acho normal.
In my Strive 8.0 of 2019 the axle is broken and that while driving uphill. No bikepark and jumps. Only off road
