Casey South and Diego Rosa, the captains of the expedition in which they made up the main couple of the Torpado Kenda Factory, showed absolute values. Once the reactors were turned on in the third of the 6 scheduled stages of the Spanish SHC, the highest category of mountain bike stage races, they immediately characterized the competition by making the official kit and the tricolor shine in the first part of the group. After the first two stages slowed down by mechanical problems, in the third they stuck their noses out of the group by attacking and trying to make the difference, first climbing to the 2nd step of the podium, in a stage with mileage not suited to their characteristics and then the magic achieved in the fourth stage.

In the fourth scheduled stage, described by Casey South as a very chaotic and strange race due to constant changes in pace, the Italian-Swiss couple did not spare themselves, pulled the group, exploded the race, with only one objective, WIN. Even though it was their first experience in a stage race as a couple, the pair had already found great harmony, the experience of the Italian champion and the astuteness of one of the talents of the discipline allowed them to aim for the maximum result. In the last section of the 60 kilometer stage the pair first followed and then attacked mercilessly using what was left in the tank, chased by a large group of 10 pairs and crossed the finish line alone, with arms raised. The two reached the finish line 1 minute ahead of their pursuers, bringing the team its first prestigious victory of this 2024 season.

The role of Jakob Dorigoni was excellent as he composed a second, mixed couple with Daniel Geismayr of Wilier Vittoria, the two in the support role for the main couples were always very close to the main actions in the event of need, but they also managed to take the first two podiums of the race with 2 third places in the first and second stages of the Andalusia Bike Race. Jakob increasingly proves himself to be a young man with great numbers for this discipline, capable of putting himself at the service but also aiming for personal results.

The two couples, who participated in Andalusia precisely to prepare the approach to the Cape Epic, were always protagonists among a stellar field and both finished in the top 10 of the general classification, with the 5th final position of Jakob Dorigoni paired with Daniel Geismayr and 6th position for Casey South paired with the Italian champion Diego Rosa.
