I realize brake compound is a matter of personal preference. Between the Hayes T100 and T106 materials, I like T106 for a good blend of low noise, strong power even when cold, and not wearing down the rotors too quickly. I weigh 175lb and frequently ride trails steep enough to have me on the brakes for extended periods. Since T106 is available in both backing plate options, might as well run the lighter pads.
