UNBOUND 200
A super successful weekend…a near victory, lost in the final sprint at the unbound saw Reynolds with 2 riders in the top ten over the weekend at the UNBOUND 200 mile race.
Chad Haga put forth an amazing performance atop his ATR gravel wheels at the Unbound 200 to secure 2nd place overall at the end of the day. Protagonist from the start his race day was characterized with him being on the attack constantly…with a relatively early effort placing him in the brake with not much company. His ATR wheels helped navigated the complicated terrain and offered aerodynamic advantages for the long periods leading an escape group or soloing off the front. In a race that doles out kudos for merely finishing, ending up on the second step of the podium is an achievement to be proud of. We at Reynolds are both proud of Chad and his amazing race as we are to have been a part of such a great sporting endeavor.
However, Chad wasn’t the lone Reynolds representative in the top 10 of the race as Dylan Johnson put on the race of his life to secure a well deserved 10th place. Fearing muddy conditions similar to the year prior, Dylan made a last minute switch to 650b ATR wheels to ensure a larger amount of tire clearance. Had there been a great deal of mud like in 2023, that gamble could have turned into gold, yet to everyone elses delight, the day was a good bit drier than expected. Wheel and tire size aside, apparently the ATR wheels carried a highly motivated and on form Dylan to his best performance yet at what has become the worlds premier gravel race.
Congratulations to Dylan and Chad and here is to more gravel success in the rest of the calendar.
