Description

Introducing the all-new, Stealth Dominion, our award-winning Hayes Dominion A4 brakes are back – adding even more ways for you to stop!

Dominion's master cylinder is factory tuned for the shortest dead stroke possible and a crisp bite point. The Dominion A4 caliper utilizes four pistons in the most structurally rigid design possible. It features a cold-forged caliper and KingPin structural pad retention bolt that increases stiffness.

With a motorsports-inspired Two-Stroke dual port bleed system, industry-leading DOT 5.1 fluid and Kevlar hose, the hydraulic system is engineered for ultimate performance across all temperatures and easy maintenance.

Dominion A4 features the proprietary QuickBite² system for fast and consistent burnish, coupled with our D-Series rotor to manage the heat with less braking noise.

Available in SFL (Small Finger Lever) - ergonomically tailored for the smaller hand.

Best brakes on the market! Amazing lever feel!

Excellent Brakes

Bought these when they first came out and thrashed a pair of them on enduro and downhill for 4 years with no maintenance except occasional bleeds. The rear started to wear out finally—leaking a little at the caliper due to old seals and the master cylinder was getting a bit worn out at the pivot points. Rather than rebuilding, I bought a new rear brake and a rebuild kit for the front. I’ve never been able to run a pair of brakes for 4 years with basically zero maintenance before…really good product. Don’t require a lot of finger pressure to get max power, so they help with hand pump on long descents. The 220 rotors are also awesome if you’re a bigger rider.

STOP! Thinking about buying this brake and buy it!

Every time I buy a bike for the family, I look and dream that they'll have Hayes Dominions on them, but I can't afford an Atherton Bike yet! I used to resist it, and believe "I'll wait until the rotor wear out and then replace it. But now I have given up, because the stopping power, adjustability, and easy maintenance can't matched! Shimano, Sram can market all they want, but they can't beat the Hayes Dominion Dream.

If you're on the fence, hop over to the side where you can actually stop, and just buy these bad boys.

Dominion A4

I have ridden sram, Shimano, magura brakes and these are my favorite. Excellent power and modulation, and I find them easy to work on with the Hayes bleed kit. Was going to try another brake for my next bike but came back to these because I know how good they are

Hayes Dominion King of The Stoppers

I have 3 E bikes and I weight in excess of 200lbs so braking is very important to me. I like a great grabbing hard biting brake and my Dominion A4 that I just purchased provide MORE than enough. I have TRP brakes on my other Ebikes and will be changing them over to the Hayes in the very near future. The TRPs are good, but I just like the power and light touch of the Hayes a bit better. If ya like easy pull brakes with great power and bite, these are the brakes for you. I opted for the 220 rotors.
