Success at Urban Downhill Mad Of Lake !

The shores of Lake Garda, specifically the splendid town of Toscolano Maderno (BS), were once again the scene of the Urban Downhill Mad Of Lake competition, now in its ninth edition, the opening race of the gravity DH season for the Honda DownhillHer Scott team.

Great success for Martina Fumagalli, who obtained first place in the Master Women category for the third consecutive year and confirmed herself as the athlete to beat in the impervious streets of Garda. A conservative qualification allows her to save energy for the race on Sunday, energy necessary to face the numerous relaunches and "pedaled" sections and lower the race time by several seconds.

On the occasion of the race, the line-up of the 2024 Honda DownhillHer Scott Racing Team and the official Scott Gambler with which the athletes will face the 2024 racing season were officially presented, equipped with Ohlins suspension by Andreani, DRC wheels with Maxxis tires and Tannus inserts, Hayes brakes and Galfer rotors and pads, Deity grips, handlebars and seat, Crankbrothers pedals, FT pro mudguards and tables.

In addition to the Scott Gambler, the DownhillHer athletes showed off their first uniform, expertly created by the new partner Forn based on a design by Fulvio Maiani, and perfectly combined with Acerbis gloves and helmet, Scott mask and protectors, FT pro bag and Northwave footwear.

MARTINA FUMAGALLI: "It's always nice to return to my friends in Toscolano for the first race of the season even if it's atypical compared to what I'm used to. It's a bit difficult to adapt psychologically to the artificial structures and the terrain which alternates between concrete and asphalt in small sections offroad. Once I found the right speed, I really enjoyed competing among the large and very warm crowd!"
