Amazing brakes

Bought these to replace the Tektro Orion that came on my wife’s Emtb. Those were non-adjustable, leaving my wife with small hands having to struggle to apply brake force and maintain control of her bike.

I have the 4 piston Dominions on my bike and have loved them for r years now with no issues, so I decided these were a no brainer.

Taking them out of the box, the build quality is instantly apparent. They just look extremely impressive even before you get them on the bike. Once installed, the fun really begins.

First, they have adjustable lever position, which was huge for both her comfort and safety. Bite point control allowed me to dial in her brake feel. Coming with two sets of brake pads is just a nice bonus that many other manufacturers don’t do.

Installation is dead simple and as is usual with my installs with these brakes, I have yet to need to bleed them even after cutting the hose and internally routing on the bike.

On the trail, they have the nearly the same massive power the 4 piston brakes but in a smaller format. Power is nice and consistent with a great soft lever feel that allows her to slow/stop her bike without feeling like she is trying to do an extreme hand workout.

She’s been absolutely thrilled with the brakes. Literally the only brake brand I run on my bike

Downcountry dominions

I got these when my XTs crapped out last year. They are amazing brakes. The sealed bearing levers are the smoothest you will find and the modulation is great. They are on my XC race bike, heavier than I would have preferred but they have all the power I could ever need and modulate well enough that I can get every last drop of traction out of my weight weenie XC tires. Someday I will hav Dominions on all of my bikes.

Truly amazing brakes

The Dominion A2s are simply beautiful brakes. Not just beautiful to look at. But more importantly, beautiful to use. Smooth. Powerful. Adjustable. And paired with D-Series rotors, you can leave the orchestra behind, because you won't hear a chirp, squeal, or whine from these trail angels. Really, these are great brakes. When it's time to upgrade your inferior OE spec brakes, or time to build your dream bike, you owe it to yourself to take a hard look at the Dominions.
