Would have been 4 or 5 stars if the fittings didn't leak. Good syringes and comes in a nice box. The fittings are well made too, but without an o-ring, they leak, at least at the lever they do. Be careful not to draw air into the master cylinder.
No instructions included & lots of little pieces in the kit. Useless without instructions showing how to properly connect the pieces & how to use it. Not even a link to this documentation on their website.
The fittings that come with this kit do not fit securely into the master cylinder bleed port. As a result the syringe sucks in air and leaks brake fluid during the bleed process. The sad part is that a $12 generic bleed kit from Amazon got the job done. I spent the extra money on this kit to get the best bleed possible from the official Hayes kit. Do not waste your money. Hayes needs to update their fittings so they secure to their brakes better.
Leaked when I bled the front master cylinder, but did not for the rear. Tightened hard as I could hand tight. Syringes and fittings were quality and I still seemingly got a good bleed, but o-rings would probably fix this. I sprayed the syringes down with isopropyl alcohol when finished to store them for later use, and all of the marking paint came came off. This paint isn't essential, but this was annoying to me. I assume this is not considered a one time use item? In the end everything worked out, but I could have done without all of the leaking for the price.
