Bought this fork brand new and losing the cover from the 1st time ride was frustrating, I dont know, if its still safe to use without the cover of the truaxle,having a hard time looking for the replacement cover here in the Philippines

Overall, a pretty good setup. The through bolt is very nice as is the bolt. The problem lies in the washer that goes between the bolt and the thru axle. It is very thin and may become distorted with use. When you look at the instructions they tell you to use very little pressure to tighten the bolt. However, to compress the forks enough to capture the wheel and prevent wobble you need a fair bit more than that. My suggestion? Make the washer of a thicker material. Use high tensile steel for it. Perhaps something in the .080 range. Grease all surfaces and should be ready to go.
