Machete Comp 29"

not many decent forks left with QR 9x100
I put this on my 29 mongoose switchback expert hard tail.
This one fit the bill and is much better than Judy or the fox offering .
Reviews are correct about it not being the smoothest in the smalls but certainly is smooth everywhere else, can’t say enough good things about the machete, and if you don’t like the stock decals it comes with dark silver ones a much better option.
I christened it at Mountain Creek in Northern NJ, I was not disappointed.

I have a 100mm Machete Comp on my hardtail 29er e-bike ... what a huge improvement over the OEM coil spring pogo stick fork.
It feels progressive and has good support through the travel.
I'd like to give it a 4.5 of 5 but can't, so it's 4/5 ... as far as performance per $, that's a 5/5 but the finish on my fork isn't as durable as my other forks ...

First of all, the customer service at Manitou is outstanding. I needed replacement parts for an old Manitou fork (2008). Unfortunately the parts were not available anymore, but the customer representative at Hayes went out of his way to set me up with a new fork that fits my bike. The Machete Comp 29 is a fantastic fork at a very reasonable price. I ride on very rocky terrain and the fork provides for an extremely smooth ride. Love it!

Solid fork. The micro adjustment for the rebound is amazing and the price makes it a realistic purchase.

Wow, what a shock this thing is. 120mm travel and a touch more. Took this thing on some hellacious terrain. Loves rocks, steeps, drops, etc etc. Blows ROck shox away. Better ride overall then my previous RS fork.
