Description

Reynolds Trail Rated wheels combine the flawless ride quality we're known for, and the durability you've come to expect, packaged at a price point that redefines the value of high-quality carbon composite rim mountain bike wheels. Our TR wheels use the same rims as our TRs line of wheels, but we build them with a more economical round spoke, brass nipples, and a hub shell that keeps the cost down. The freehub on the Reynolds TR3 hubs still offers ten degrees of engagement for quick accelerations. No matter your budget, wheels will still be the most important upgrade you make to your bike.

•Asymmetric rim profile provides a stronger wheel through more even spoke tension
•Reynolds TR3 Mountain hub (100% CNC machined) with 10 degrees of engagement
•Can upgrade to TR6 freehub body for 5 degrees of engagement
•Tubeless-ready, hookless rim profile for a no-burp tire fit and ease of inflation
•Offered in 24mm, 30mm, and 36mm inner rim widths to match current tire trends
•Features Sapim Sprint spokes and durable brass nipples
•XD and Shimano freehub bodies available

    Freehub trash, support great!

The 5 stars belong to the customer service - Like many others, my freehub also broke after 2500km. Took some pictures from my damaged freehub body, and Hayes sent me a new updated freehub with 6 pawls + axle + wheel bearings.
Meanwhile i know that the stock TR309 freehub (4-pawl) is trash, but with such an uncomplicated, great support i don't care about that. I highly recommend this brand. Customer support is very important, no one needs expensive high-quality products from a brand with bad service in case of a product failure.
Big thanks to Hayes Performance Systems, would rate 10/10 for customer service if i could somewhere ;-)

Great rims, Poor rear Hub but excellent customer service and Warranty

5 Star review due to the Help received from Reynolds/Hayes Europe.
The wheels feel awesome to be an entry level carbon wheel, rims are good quality and great for enduro but the hubs are average and with some free hub problems.
I broke the original Hub after less than 200km of trail riding. They change my hub under warranty for a similar quality one (but not the same).
They have a dealer in most Countries so I didn't have to worry about shipping cost and I even got a SunRingle Duroc to ride in the meantime, that is an awesome wheel by the way.

This summer I managed to crack the rear rim and I have to send the rim for warranty to the headquarters in Germany. Unfortunately the wheel got stock in the German Customs, but the Hayes Team send me a new wheel to be able to ride what's left of the summer.
I even got a better free hub body in the New wheel and they said that would solve the previous problem.

Where I go with this, is that this Guys are there to help you out. They are truth to there warranty policy and they also know that the TR wheels hub have some issues, but they willing to repair and sure will also upgrade for something much better for a little extra cash.
Them you end up with a top Notch wheel.

    Happy Riding!

Great wheels but now I'm scared lol

After reading many reviews, now I'm scared to ride aggressively since I got the same hub on my rear :(

    Great wheels but shitty freehub

Otherwise the wheels are great; stiff and solid, but the freehub construction is just rubbish. Claws seem to push&mold the "too soft material" of freehub body out of shape and claw then presses hardly against the bearing. The freehub's inner bearing fails under that pointy force and causes the issue. I changed the bearing but the new one broke after 50km. I have to replace the whole freehub or change to another brand.

    Rear Hub play after <300km

Have discovered rear hub play in these hubs after less than 300km. Bike is barely 6 weeks out of packaging. With a massive XC Race in 1 months time. I will be contacting canyon directly for a solution immediately. Rims are fantastic! but the Hubs have a lot to be desired! Having ran other brands, I have never had an issue alike this!

It is alarming to see all these negative reports on the hubs and sadly it has came true for myself.
